Review of the Koala Mattress: Features and Composition

The Koala mattress is an all-foam mattress with only two foam layers and a cover. Now, this appears to be just like any other mattress, so let's break it down layer by layer:

  • The cover is constructed of a Tencel and polyester combination that wicks moisture away while allowing air to flow. It's antibacterial, breathable, and velvety. It will help keep the sleeper from being overheated. The cover completely encircles the mattress; however, it is removable and machine washable. You may also spot-clean it fast, but a mattress protector is recommended just in case.
  • Kloudcell foam, 6 cm thick, serves as the comfort layer. This soft layer is popular among Koala mattress reviews because it has an open-cell structure that allows air to circulate. Because it's constructed of a latex and memory foam blend, it also soothes pressure spots.
  • A 16-centimeter-high Ecofoam serves as the foundation. This layer is highly robust and provides additional spine support. Its density also helps to keep your hips straight and reduces motion transfer.

The company employs only the most cutting-edge production equipment to reduce its carbon footprint. During manufacture, there are almost no emissions or CFCs. The company uses only GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia) certified foam for its mattress, one of the most satisfying discoveries in our Koala mattress product review.

Comfort

For a good night's sleep, overall comfort is essential. A mattress's softness, how it feels against your skin, and how well it supports your body may make or break it.

Firmness

Every evaluation of the Koala mattress emphasizes the mattress's ideal firmness. The Koala mattress is a perfect 6.1 in firmness (on a scale of 1–10, with 10 being firmest). It's not too soft, but it's also not too firm.

This firmness level makes it ideal for various sleeping positions, including back, stomach, side, and combination.

There is, however, one exception. For heavy sleepers, the Koala mattress isn't the ideal option. People who weigh more than 105 kg may find the bed overly hard, as their weight may overwhelm the Kloudcell layer's bounce and softness.

Sinkage

This mattress comprises a combination of memory and latex foams, as we mentioned in our Koala mattress review. It blends the bounce and responsiveness of a latex mattress with the pressure relief and motion isolation of a memory foam mattress.

These characteristics translate to low sinkage, so you'll feel like you're laying atop the mattress rather than sinking into it.

Support

There isn't a single complaint about the general support provided by the Koala mattress. This mattress will give full support to your body regardless of your sleeping position.

Back and stomach sleepers will benefit from the firmer Ecofoam layer, which aligns the spine and hips, preventing aches and stiffness.
Similarly, the softer Kloudcell foam layer provides ample sinkage for side sleepers to relieve pressure in their shoulders and spine.

Support on the Outside

When sharing a bed with a spouse or sleeping near the edge, edge support is essential. We're pleased to inform you that our Koala bed review found excellent edge support! (With one exception.)

When you first lie down, you may feel like you're sinking, which can be unsettling. After a few moments, though, the mattress flattens evenly under you and enhances its edge support.

Transfer of Motion

Another essential factor to consider when sharing a bed is the mattress's (in)ability to transfer motion and disturb your sleep. If you're a light sleeper or have a fidgety and restless companion, you'll appreciate how the Koala minimizes movement.

Because the foam layers absorb motion, you may toss and turn as much as you like while still getting your Z's.

Summary of the Review

The majority of Koala mattress reviews in Australia are positive. This mattress is top-rated. And, come to think of it, there's nothing to dislike about it. It's built of high-quality materials and is produced in an environmentally friendly manner, making it an ideal bed for all sorts of sleepers.

The cost will not break the bank, and the financing choices will assist you even more. Buying a Koala mattress means getting a good night's sleep while helping the environment, protecting an animal species, and supporting a charitable organization.
